Camping can be a very enriching experience for children and offers many families the space and sense of freedom that modern day living can curtail. However, as we know from personal experience, family holidays can also be quite stressful so knowing that the ‘little things’ are taken care of can make the experience so much more enjoyable and relaxing for the whole family!

Our family-friendly facilities

  • Family shower rooms with adjustable water temperature and pressure
  • Two half-size baths, complete with shower hoses to rinse soapy hair (for children five years and under)
  • Two baby changing tables
  • Fully-equipped laundry room (to keep on top of that never ending pile of dirty laundry!)*

To keep the little ones amused

  • Outdoor children’s play area for endless fun including an amazing bespoke pirate ship, large climbing pyramid with connecting bridge to a bird's nest tower, 'inclusive' bird's nest swing, Viking swing and tractor and trailer slide for the little ones.
  • Large sports area for ball games and kite flying
  • Games room with table tennis, pool tables and table football*

Safety on site

  • Vehicle Number Plate Recognition barriers restrict vehicular access on to the Park and the entrance barrier is locked between 11.30pm and 7am
  • Children are welcome to bring bikes (helmets must be worn) but we regret that scooters, skateboards and rollerblades are not permitted

Safe bathing

St Ives is renowned for its fabulous beaches with sparkling turquoise seas and soft golden sand. All of the main beaches are lifeguarded (Porthminster, Porthmeor and Carbis Bay) and all benefit from good facilities. Carbis Bay and Porthminster offer more sheltered bathing while Porthmeor is a great spot for surfing and body boarding. The harbour is also a firm favourite for little ones who love splashing and puddle jumping! All of the town beaches (not Carbis Bay) are within an approx. 10 minute walk from the bus stop.

Days out

Cornwall has many family friendly, world renowned attractions and activities as well as hidden coves to explore, short walks, cinemas (for those wet days!) and fabulous places to eat where children are well catered for. Our staff will be more than happy to provide information and make recommendations, print tickets/passes, and point you in the direction of any money saving vouchers!
